European Rotors

Europe's premier helicopter and vertical aviation event. Three days organised by EHA (European Helicopter Association) covering rotorcraft operations, training, MRO, and the rapidly growing eVTOL/AAM segment.

What to expect

European Rotors is the European counterpart to Verticon, focused on rotorcraft and vertical aviation with EASA-aligned regulatory and operational content. Expect helicopter operators (HEMS, oil-and-gas, utility, tour, corporate), OEMs (Airbus Helicopters, Leonardo, Bell, Robinson), MROs, helicopter training centers, and an increasingly large AAM/eVTOL contingent. Education tracks cover safety, operations, training, and the emerging vertiport infrastructure topic. The event has rotated host cities — Madrid, Cologne, Amsterdam — but consistently runs at the end of the year. The 2026 edition runs 30 November to 3 December at EUREXPO Lyon, with exhibits open 1–3 December.

Who attends

European helicopter operators, OEMs, MROs, helicopter training centers, EASA representatives, AAM/eVTOL companies, safety researchers, and a strong international visiting contingent from US and Asia-Pacific operators with European operations.

Why flight schools attend

European helicopter training schools and combined fixed-wing/rotary operations use European Rotors for fleet decisions, instructor recruiting, regulatory updates, and operator placement relationships. The event is also where European training schools meet AAM/eVTOL companies whose training pipelines will become significant over the next decade.

Frequently Asked Questions

European Rotors is the European counterpart — same fundamental focus on rotorcraft and vertical aviation, but at roughly a third of Verticon's scale and with EASA-aligned regulatory and operational content. European helicopter operators typically attend European Rotors as their primary annual event.

European Rotors runs annually in late November or early December. Host city rotates between major European convention centers — Madrid, Cologne, and Amsterdam in recent years. The 2026 edition runs 30 November to 3 December at EUREXPO Lyon, France, with exhibits open 1–3 December.

Yes — European Rotors has positioned itself as the leading European venue for AAM/eVTOL training-pipeline conversations. Schools that want to understand where vertiport-aligned training will go in the next decade find the AAM track uniquely useful.
