NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference

NBAA's flagship event for business aviation flight-operations staff. Three days centred on schedulers, dispatchers, flight coordinators, and the trip-support ecosystem — the largest gathering of business aviation operations professionals in the world.

What to expect

S&D is the unusual NBAA event where the centre of gravity is the operations team rather than the chief pilot or the principal. Programming covers trip planning, international operations and overflight permits, fuel and ground-handling strategy, scheduling-software platform comparison, dispatcher certification and continuing development, and a substantial track on the operations-team career pathway. The exhibit hall is enormous and unique — every major trip-support provider, FBO chain, fuel supplier, ground handler, scheduling software vendor, and ARGUS/Wyvern/IS-BAO auditor exhibits. For Part 135 charter operators (whose flight ops staff overlap heavily with the business aviation S&D community), it's the single most efficient room to evaluate operations tooling and vendors annually.

Who attends

Schedulers, dispatchers, and flight coordinators from Part 91 and Part 135 business aviation operators, chief pilots from smaller flight departments, FBO management, trip-support providers, scheduling and flight-ops software vendors, fuel suppliers, ground-handling companies, and the regulatory and audit organisations serving the business aviation sector.

Why flight schools attend

Direct fit is mainly for schools running a combined ATO/Part 135 charter operation — the operations-team focus speaks to that side of the house rather than to training operations. Schools without an AOC side typically find more direct value at FSANA, NBAA-BACE, or NATA's annual conference. Schools that do attend send their dispatchers and flight coordinators rather than training leadership.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mainly for schools running a combined ATO/Part 135 charter operation. The agenda is operations-team focused — schedulers, dispatchers, trip coordinators — rather than training-leadership focused. Schools without a Part 135 side generally find more direct value at FSANA, NBAA-BACE, or NATA's annual conference.

The flight coordinator, scheduler, and dispatcher team — the operations support staff whose work isn't visible at NBAA-BACE the way the principal and chief pilot's is. S&D is one of the few major industry events designed specifically for this audience, which is why exhibitor density is so high relative to attendee count.
