ALTA Airline Leaders Forum

The Latin American & Caribbean Air Transport Association's flagship annual gathering. Every major Latin American carrier, regulator, and aviation industry supplier convenes for three days of policy, operations, and commercial sessions — the single most useful room for any aviation business active in the LatAm market.

What to expect

ALTA's Airline Leaders Forum (held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting) is the LatAm aviation industry's annual focal point. CEOs and senior leadership from LATAM, GOL, Azul, Avianca, Copa, Volaris, AeroMexico, JetSMART, Sky Airline, and the smaller LatAm carriers attend; major OEMs, lessors, MROs, fuel suppliers, and ATM providers exhibit and sponsor. The agenda balances commercial-policy sessions (fees, taxation, infrastructure), operational topics (sustainable aviation, safety harmonisation), and a substantial talent-pipeline thread. The Forum rotates among LatAm host cities — recent editions have run in Bogotá, Cancún, and Buenos Aires. The 2026 location follows ALTA's rotating-host pattern.

Who attends

Latin American and Caribbean airline CEOs and senior leadership, regulators from across the LatAm region, OEMs (Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, ATR), lessors and finance providers, MROs serving the LatAm fleet, ATM providers, fuel suppliers, ground-handling companies, and pilot training schools active in the LatAm market.

Why flight schools attend

If your school's market includes Latin American student-pilot recruitment or LatAm airline cadet partnerships, ALTA is the single most efficient annual room. The senior LatAm carrier leadership convenes here in a way that makes follow-up easier than chasing individual carriers across capital cities. Schools without an existing LatAm market presence usually find LABACE a better entry event for business-aviation engagement.

Frequently Asked Questions

ALTA is the LatAm commercial-aviation industry forum — airlines, regulators, infrastructure. LABACE is the LatAm business aviation trade show — operators, OEMs, and FBOs of the corporate-aviation segment. Both serve the LatAm market but cover different operator types and decision-maker audiences.

No. Non-member airlines, training providers, OEMs, and aviation industry suppliers may attend at non-member registration rates. The Forum is a deliberately broad-attendance event because much of ALTA's policy advocacy depends on convening the full industry.

ALTA Forum 2026 runs October 18-20 2026 in Mexico City — the confirmed host city for this edition. Final venue and registration details are published via alta.aero.
